A high-level delegation from Jammu & Kashmir, led by Dr. Baba Nazrul Islam, participated in the 15th Annual Conference of the Private Schools and Children Welfare Association (PSACWA) held in Hyderabad from June 19–22, 2026.
Dr. Baba Nazrul Islam, who also serves as the President of PSACWA Jammu & Kashmir, has been actively working alongside National President Shamael Ahmad to promote educational excellence and child welfare initiatives across the Union Territory.
The four-day national conference brought together educationists, school leaders, policy experts, and child welfare advocates from across India. Discussions focused on emerging challenges and opportunities in inclusive and holistic education, innovative learning ecosystems, child welfare frameworks, and educational leadership in the modern era.
J&K Receives National Recognition
A moment of immense pride for Jammu & Kashmir came when the J&K delegation was awarded First Prize among participating states in recognition of its outstanding educational initiatives, innovative practices, and valuable contributions during the conference’s technical sessions.
The award reflects the significant efforts being undertaken by private educational institutions and stakeholders across Jammu & Kashmir to enhance educational quality and foster student development.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Baba Nazrul Islam expressed gratitude to the organizers and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in strengthening educational quality, equity, innovation, and child welfare. He noted that the recognition received by Jammu & Kashmir is a testament to the dedication and commitment of educators and school leaders working tirelessly for the betterment of students.
During the concluding ceremony, delegates from across the country were felicitated for their active participation and contributions to the success of the conference.
Educational Exchange and Institutional Visits
On the sidelines of the conference, the delegation held a productive interaction with officials of Mimber Academy and visited its associated institutions in Hyderabad to study the academy’s innovative “My Young Scientist” Laboratory Development Initiative.
The delegation explored opportunities to introduce similar science and innovation-based laboratory models in schools across Jammu & Kashmir. Academy officials appreciated the efforts of the J&K delegation and felicitated its members during the visit.
The delegation also met with the leadership of MS Academy, where discussions centered on contemporary curriculum design, future-ready learning models, and educational reforms being implemented across the country. The delegation commended the academy’s pioneering initiatives in curriculum development and student-centric learning.
